To mark the start of our open season and celebrate Easter, we will be running some special outdoor activities for families over our Easter Monday opening on 13th April 2020.
KIDS' EASTER TRAIL
Grab one of our Easter Trail sheets from the Coach Hall and follow the numbered signs around the garden, writing down the coloured letter from each one as you go. Each clue leads you to find the next sign, and there's a treat at the Coach Hall tea-room for anyone who manages to unscramble the letters and work out the mystery words!
UPDATE: this will still be running but you might have to bring your own treat!
SEED SOWING WITH GARDENER, KATIE
Come and join the free seed sowing activities for kids happening with Fursdon gardener, Katie Vanstone. This is a chance for young green fingers to sow pretty Cosmos, giant Sunflowers, beautiful purple french beans, Jack O’Lantern Pumpkins, or tasty little Cucamelons - all to take home and grow in your own garden!
UPDATE: sadly cancelled.
EASTER TREATS AT THE COACH HALL TEA-ROOM
Alongside an array of delicious cakes, scones and other home bakes at our Coach Hal tea-room, there'll be some special Easter treats for children.
UPDATE: The Coach Hall tea room is closed until further notice.
Don't forget that we love to see children at Fursdon! Complete with a bug house, arched topiary, ancient oak trees and hidden dens, the Fursdon garden is a magical place for kids of all ages to explore, all set in hillside with spectacular views – and plenty of wildlife to spot, too.
Fursdon Garden is open on Easter Monday from 2pm until 5pm. We are opening the garden for FREE until further notice at our usual opening times.
