The beauty of the place is compelling. You are assured of complete tranquillity and a depth of silence which is rare.

Fursdon is one of Devon's oldest family homes offering holiday accommodation, house tours and garden visits.

An ancient country estate in the heart of the Devon countryside and close to the cathedral city of Exeter, the Fursdon family has lived here for over 760 years.

During summer months, visitors can enjoy guided tours of the manor house and family museum, strolls around the restored gardens and delicious treats at The Coach Hall tea-room.

The Coach Hall is available to hire year-round for special occasions or events. We also offer holiday accommodation and run a number of special open days and events outside our normal opening hours.

Our garden and tea-room is open on bank holidays and Wednesday and Thursday afternoons (2-5pm) until the end of September. The House is open on bank holidays, plus Wednesday and Thursday afternoons (guided tours at 2.30pm and 3.30pm) in June, July and August. Please see our Opening Times & Pricing for updated information before your visit.
