The first two Special Sundays at Fursdon House and Garden have been very successful. Volunteers from Devon wildlife organisations have been helping us and we are very grateful for their assistance with activities on Birds Day and Meadow Day.
The Woodland Trust will be at Fursdon on Sunday 27th August from 2pm to 5pm for Trees Day to talk to visitors about woodland creation and management. They will have FREE trees to give away and information about the Woodland Trust to share. There will be an aboriculturist to lead walks around Fursdon’s attractive gardens, showing visitors trees on the estate, both old and new.
So if you have land, even a small amount, and you would like to plant some native trees, you may like to tap into their knowledge and expertise and enjoy a cream tea at the Coach Hall tea room and a stroll in Fursdon’s lovely garden at the same time. Fursdon House will also be open for guided tours.
